Casey decided to play soccer this season....he hasn't played since he was four years old and he somehow got placed on a team of 13-14 year olds. The team finished with a record of 6-3 and took home First Place medals!!! He was DEFINITELY the most improved player of the season and ALWAYS tried his hardest and never gave up. The final three games Casey actually got to play goalie.....and he NEVER once let a goal in during all three games!!! I was soooo nervous sitting on the sidelines watching, but of course he did great! You should of seen his impressive footwork and ballhandling during the final game! There isn't anything Casey can do to make us less than proud of him. No matter what Casey does, he always "hits it out of the ballpark" and puts his whole heart into it. We think the reason for this goes beyond just wanting to be the best and beyond just wanting to win. We think the goals for this goalie include rewards that are also very much intrinsic in nature!! Whatever you choose to do in life for fun, school or work, keep the heart, Casey. We love you.
